Our Process
Our process consists of only the highest level of industry standards to ensure the strongest bond possible between the concrete surface and the epoxy.
We start by diamond grinding the surface of the concrete to ensure that a mechanical bond is created. This ensures that there will not be issues with chipping, flaking, or hot tire pickup which is caused by inadequate prepping of the floor. Next we vacuum and clean the surface in order to eliminate dust and debris that might otherwise affect the bonding process.
To ensure cleanliness & protection, we meticulously tape all walls/perimeters that are not being coated. We also mark and tape off the edge of garages where the door and epoxy meet to give the floor a professional and seamless look.
From there we mix and pour the epoxy base coat, and apply the decorative flakes over the top to your desired broadcast which provide an added layer of durability, and a timeless look.
Finally, customers can opt to apply our high performance satin or gloss clearcoat which adds another layer of protection, and a beautiful matte or sheen finish.
Our Story
Our company began back in 2015 when owners Rob Moser and Kyle Phillips were looking to do metallic epoxy floors in their homes. After searching around it was evident that there were not any companies providing what they were looking for so they decided to take on the projects on their own. After installing the metallic floors in their own basements, they fell in love with how they turned out, and so UEP was born.
It only took a small amount of time to recognize there was a major need/want for quality epoxy floors. We discovered quickly that this industry is saturated with companies that provide low-quality products such as the DIY type you can find at your local home-improvement store. We felt confident that we had the capability to enter the industry with the commitment of providing best-in-class service, and long-lasting quality floors.
